Anaphylaxis & epi-pen

This awareness course covers anaphylactic reactions in both adults and children, the correct administration of adrenaline(epinephrine), drug incompatibilities, contradictions and enables participants to differentiate between anaphylactic reactions amd panic attacks.


Basic observations

Why, when and how observations are conducted, the normal range for each observation and how to record as well as action to be taken outside the range are also covered.


Blood glucose monitoring

This course is aimed at those working with or responsible for testing blood glucose levels and monitoring the well being of people with low (hypoglycemia) and high (hyperglycemia) blood glucose levels.


Care of medicine & administration

This is a combined course designed for healthcare professionals, who in the course of their duties may have to administer and need to either refresh their skills or wish to learn more about medication.


Care of medicine

This training course is designed for residential or domiciliary care professionals, requiring level 1 & 2 medication awareness training as outlined in the CQC/CCSIW guidance.

Dialectical behavioural therapy training

This course is designed to provide you with an understanding of the theories and principles of dialectal behavioural therapy. This training enables delegates to support and help individuals change patterns of behaviour. 


Dysphagia

This course introduces the condition and promotes understanding of the implications and dangers when someone has difficulties with eating and swallowing.


Emergency first aid at work

All successful candidates of this course will have the skills and knowledge to provide emergency first aid and basic life support in a prompt, safe  and effective manner.

A maximum of 12 students may be accommodated and all applicants must be at minimum of 14 years of age.


Pallative care (end of life care)

This course is best run for either care staff or trained staff but not a mixed group as their needs are very different.

It is designed for people new to this field or as a refresher.


Pressure area care/ Tissue viability

This course is designed for carers and RGN's who may need to update their skill and knowledge on the topics of pressur area and tissue viability (prevention and managment of wounds)includingaspectsof skin and soft tissue.


Recognising death & dignity

This course will enable delecates to gain an understanding in the nurse verication process including recognising death, legal implications and after care of the desceased.

This course is designed to increase awareness of entreal feeding and to provide the delegate with the practical knowledge to deal with this feeding method.

This course is designed to educate and train healthcare proffesional to perform all facets of care with this equipment safely and competenly.


Trachestomy care

This course is designe to educate and enable healthcare proffesionals to perform tracheostomy care safley and competently.

A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the course.


Wound managment

This course is designed for nurses and healthcare assistents involved for patients with chronic and acute wounds.
